DURATION 8 Hours

OVERVIEW

Take a day trip south from Muscat to visit the beautiful coastal oasis of Wadi Shab. There you will be able to see traditional Omani life in the beautiful setting of the valley. Along the way you will also visit the Bimah Sinkhole.

ITINERARY

After being picked up from your hotel, tour will take you through the mountainous and desert landscape.

You will pass the coastal township of Quriyat before reaching Wadi Shab after an approximately 1.5-hour drive, after which your guide will take you for a 45-minute walk to reach the natural pools and cave. You will be permitted some time to swim in the area's clear, sparkling waters, before returning to the base after walking for another 45 minutes. It can get very slippery in the rock pools before entering the caves so please ensure you bring proper footwear that you don’t mind getting wet. To reach the beautiful waterfall at the end of the hike you must swim through two small pools and a keyhole cave!

After lunch at a local restaurant, we drive to Hawiyat Najm Park where the popular Bimmah Sink Hole is located.   You will discover its famous white sand beaches, as you drive the coastal scenic route to reach that dramatic place, a miracle of nature.  The Sink Hole is a lovely place to swim and jump off the rocks or just dip your feet in for a fantastic free fish spa as it contains many “doctor fish”. After relaxing at Bimmah we drive back to Muscat.
